CHRISTMAS RIB FROM ØSTFOLD

  • 4 lbs. baby back spareribs
  • 2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 2 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1 Tsp. ground cloves

  1. Preheat oven to 450°.
  2. Mix all the spices together in a small bowl.
  3. Rub both sides of ribs with the spice mixture.
  4. Place spiced ribs in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and reduce heat to 350° for 1.5 hours or until done.
  7. Baste with drippings every 20 minutes during baking.
  1. Serves 4 people.
  2. Serve with surkål, lingonberries, and boiled potatoes.
