Ingeborg members encourage women (and girls age 13 and above) interested in Scandinavian heritage to join them at their meetings.
LODGE HIGHLIGHTS
Ingeborg Lodge members are active participants in their local community and promote their Nordic heritage. They have helped with a Nordic Ancestry Exhibit at the Stanwood Historical Society. They participate in the annual Stanwood Fourth of July Parade, and the August Standwood-Camano Island County Fair parade.
Summer picnics are popular outings. The lodge makes lots of Nordic goodies to sell at the bake sale they hold with the local Sons of Norway lodge. Fundraisers help them support local groups and recently the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center's building fund.
Between their monthly meetings, the sisters of Ingeborg Lodge #43 continue to enjoy each other's company through Hardanger embroidery workshops, book clubs, cooking groups, Rosemaling workshops and Norwegian language classes.
Please join the lodge for their monthly Scandinavian programs. Some of these have included:
- Tatting workshops
- Norwegian Elkhounds
- Knitting Machines 101
- Music & dance performances
- Cultural events & celebrations
- Finding Your Roots Through Music
- Plique-à-jour enameling in Norway

LODGE'S NAME
The lodge was named after another Daughters of Norway Ingeborg Lodge which had previously disbanded. No one has unearthed exactly why the name ever was used. The previous lodge's regalia had been found and was given to the newly formed lodge. If anyone has knowledge of the background of this group, please contact the webmaster.
- 1 Lodge does not hold meetings in July and August. Meeting place may vary so contact lodge for details.
